Empathetic TV?

A show is what it examines, and Reception examines themes which intend to (often comically) help admit white privilege, take public responsibility for institutional and lasting inadequacy in how folx have been treated. Reception uses humor to extend connection between the viewer and the character, as well as between the viewer and any marginalized group in society. 

 

The reception desk, the world of show biz, and New York City, all act as areas ripe with opportunities to examine the concept of being "received."
